The rectangular jewelry box on display has a flap lid on two metal hinges and a key lock (the key is lost). The side walls of the lid and the case are made of wooden bars, overlapped at the corners with nails. The ribs outside are shaped. The upper part of the lid and the base are made of solid rectangular boards. From the outside the box is covered with black lacquer, over which it is decorated with straw appliqués, some parts of the image are covered with green as well as orange and brown paint.

On the upper part of the lid, in a wide rectangular frame with rounded corners and diamond-shaped pattern, is a diamond-shaped frame with decorative patterns consisting of small rhombuses, within which is a one-line inscription at the top: “To Irochka“. Part of the inscription is made with foil. Below is a stylized image of a large bouquet of small flowers with leaves, the stems of which are tied with a ribbon and a large bow. The middle part of the bow is made of foil. Around the diamond-shaped frame, in the corners there are four small trapezoidal frames with inscriptions inside: top left — “In memory“, top right — “From Daddy“, bottom left — “May“, bottom right — “1954“. Around the frames are floral motifs.

On the side walls of the case and the lid there are bands of geometric and floral patterns. The box is covered with golden and brown lacquer on top of the appliqués; the bottom is covered with translucent greenish paint on the outside. A metal diamond-shaped lock plate with rounded corners and a hole in the center for a keyhole is attached with two nails to the front side wall from the outside. The lock is fitted from the inside into the wall and has a slot for a hinge, which is attached on a metal plate to the front side wall of the lid from the inside. The hinge does not go all the way into the slot, and the lid of the box does not close tightly. The jewelry box has inner soft walls made of cardboard and cotton wool and covered with purple fabric on top. The soft wall inserted into the lid has a circular indentation from a lost overlay or mirror. There are four breaks from wire fastenings around, the remains of two of which have survived. The walls of the case are coated with pink paint on the inside. The box was made by a Yaroslavl resident and a political prisoner Alexander Svidentsov.
