The collection of the literary and memorial museum features a photograph of the Golikov family. It is the last complete family photo taken in Arzamas before the father, Pyotr Isidorovich, went to the front.
When World War I began, despite being in the reserve, Pyotr Isidorovich Golikov was called up for active service in the Tsar’s army. On July 18, 1914, Pyotr Golikov was drafted and served as a private for a year and a half.
On August 2, 1914, a local notary prepared a power of attorney in the name of Pyotr Isidorovich’s wife, Natalya Arkadyevna Golikova. According to the document, Golikov’s wife was authorized to receive payments, submit applications, and sign documents on behalf of her husband.
