The exhibition is presented at the Arkady Petrovich Gaidar Literary Museum. It showcases not only the Arzamas period of the writer’s life but also his military biography, as well as his literary and journalistic work across different periods. Arkady Petrovich Gaidar (Golikov) came from an ancient noble family closely connected with the Lermontov, Bazhov, and Strugatsky families. He began his military career at the age of 14, rose to the rank of regimental commander, and died heroically at the front at the age of 37.
Manuscripts, photographs, and
personal items tell the story of Gaidar’s childhood in Arzamas and his studies
at the Arzamas Real School. Among the most valuable exhibits are a leather
cigarette case, a cigarette holder, a handkerchief, a pencil, and a small
wooden board with a note left by the writer in the last days of his life.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
