The museum’s collection includes a postcard depicting the Sorokinsky Pond, published by the “Printing Agent in Moscow.”
Sorokinsky Pond is located near the house that the
family of Arkady Petrovich Golikov, the future writer Arkady Gaidar, rented in
the town of Arzamas. The boys used to play there. Their “naval battles” were
later described by Arkady Gaidar in his autobiographical novel The School,
