Urazovo Local History Museum

From the nature department of the permanent exposition of the Urazovo Local History Museum, one can learn about the geography, climate and animals of the Belgorod region. The ‘Archaeological Past’ section introduces the monuments of the Paleolithic era, clay pots of the Bronze Age catacomb culture, as well as artifacts found on the territory of the Valuyka fortress. The third section ‘The history of the Urazovo settlement in the 18th — early 20th centuries’ tells about the peasant life, agriculture and handicrafts. And in the section ‘History of Urazovo in the XX–XXI centuries’ you can get acquainted with the history of the settlement and its outstanding natives. It also presents materials about the soldiers of the 153rd Guards Urazovo Artillery Regiment, three times Hero of the Soviet Union, Air Marshal Ivan Kozhedub and Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Yevtushenko.
