The exhibition aims to familiarize visitors with the history of Arctic defense during World War II, which lasted from June 22, 1941 to November 1944. German troops were driven out of Soviet Arctic territories through the successful Petsamo–Kirkenes operation in 1944. It marked one of the most significant victories in the Second World War. However, this victory came at a significant cost.
The exhibition features personal effects of those
who contributed to this victory. Furthermore, it presents various personal
belongings of builders and architects of the modern city of Severomorsk.
Visitors can also view models of military vehicles from the Second World War,
as well as household items used by military personnel, and learn about the
history of Severomorsk.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
