Gregory the Theologian was the Archbishop of Constantinople, a Christian theologian, one of the Doctors of the Church, the follower of Basil the Great. He is venerated as a holy hierarch.
The icon was restored by S.V. Filatov in the All-Union Research Institute for Restoration in 1976.
