The Tilsit Peace Treaty is an event that inscribed the city’s name in world history. Today it is an important example of the victory of diplomacy in a military conflict. The exhibition “Tilsit Peace Treaty and Queen Louise” focuses on the story of the peace negotiations between Alexander and Napoleon, which had a significant influence on the development of international politics, as well as the role of the courageous Prussian Queen Louise, grandmother of the Russian Emperor Alexander II, in reaching the peace agreements in Tilsit are the focus of.
The exhibition features original prints, illustrations, small sculptures, copies of peace agreements, costumes, fragments of weapons, maps, medals, postcards, books on the history of Russian diplomacy — a total of about 90 items created in Russia, Germany, France and Italy.
